As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, and so does Camp Jasper each year. Since I didn’t get any pictures of the last day - not much interesting about a bunch of pictures of it raining outside and Les and Jason packing up the cars to leave early - here are some pictures of our second to last day.
We gave up on the beach and the pool and made it movie morning. The kids ate candy and popcorn and watched The Three Stooges as we not-so-patiently waited for the skies to clear once again.
It paid off because as we were finishing lunch, low and behold, the sun came out and the waves were bigger than ever. We raced as fast as we could down to the beach since this was to be the day the professional photographer came over for pictures at 6:15 p.m. We knew our time on the beach would be very limited either by picture preparations or by weather(and rain once again interrupted our beach time).
Catching some waves and searching for seashells…
Seashell finding…a cool shell with a perfect heart and a whole sand dollar were the finds of the day…
When it started raining, we headed back to the house and started getting cleaned up for pictures/dinner. Then the photographer canceled pictures because of the weather forecast for 6:15 p.m. However, the official Camp Jasper photos in the unique “khaki and white on the beach” were meant to be and are still to come…stay tuned!
